AI Impact Summit 2026 in Delhi: Traffic advisory issued for school students as CBSE exams begin on Feb 17
As the national capital gears up for a significant week, the Delhi Police has issued a detailed traffic advisory to manage the convergence of two major events: the commencement of the prestigious AI Impact Summit 2026 and the start of the CBSE Class 10 and 12 board examinations. With the summit kicking off on February 16 and exams beginning on February 17, authorities have implemented coordinated measures to ensure the safety of VVIP movements while minimising disruption for the over 46 lakh students appearing for their exams. Summit of Global Proportions Meets Academic Milestone The five-day AI Impact Summit, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Bharat Mandalay, is a global gathering of heads of state, tech CEOs like Sam Altman and Sundar Pichai, and policymakers from around 20 countries. Given the high-profile nature of the delegates, extensive traffic regulations and security protocols are in effect, particularly in the New Delhi district. This poses a unique challenge as it coincides with the crucial CBSE board exams, which began on Tuesday, February 17, at 10:30 AM. Special Measures for exam-taking students Recognizing the potential for congestion, the Delhi Traffic Police, in coordination with the Education and Transport Departments, has implemented specific measures to assist students. All field staff have been sensitised to prioritise and assist candidates travelling to their examination centres. CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj has directed all students to reach their examination centres by 10:00 AM, at least 30 minutes before the start of the exam. In a critical move to prevent delays, the traffic police have identified 10 schools located on the main routes of VIP movement that are serving as exam centres.
Nodal officers have been deployed at these specific schools to facilitate students and staff, and school managements have been provided with the list of these officers and their contact numbers. List of Schools and Suggested Routes: Students and parents from the following schools are advised to follow the suggested routes to avoid traffic snarls:
